An Trach communal house

It is in village 2, ward 5, Bac Lieu town and 1,500m from the town’s centre to the southeast. Its acreage is about 2,980 sq.m. Its main door directs towards the north and Bac Lieu - Ca Mau river passes beside to the east-west.

The communal house was built in the Year of Buffalo (1887) and featured communal house architecture in the Central Vietnam (Hue). In the 9th year of his dynasty (1924), King Khai Dinh gave honourable conferment to the house. Up to now, it maintains former architecture features in spite of various repairs with specific art works and sculptures.

Every year, the local inhabitants hold important festivals at the house on 15th, 16th, and 17th of lunar January. This place was recognised as a national architectural vestige by the Ministry of Culture and Information in 2000.
